Deep Adaptations Gathering

Past event
Sep 20, 2020, 2 to 3:30 PM

I will be hosting a Deep Adaptations meet-up this coming Sunday from 2:00-3:30pm on the State House Lawn. You can find me standing by one of the trees along the sidewalk edge holding blue and green silk scarves. We can find a comfortable place to sit in shade or sun with enough space for Covid safety.

This is a chance to join with others who are willing to be present to the reality (or possible reality if you'd prefer) of social collapse due to climate change. I am a part of the global Deep Adaptations on-line community and will offer some of the practices that are supportive for adapting during these changing times - supporting resiliency within ourselves and community. There will also be space for brainstorming and networking around the potential physical adaptations that are possible in our local community.

This is not a space to debate whether or not social collapse, global warming, and possible extinction are happening or will... but rather a place to be present to these things, connect, express, and regulate our nervous systems.

I suggest reading or listening to Jem Bendell's paper entitled 'Deep Adaptations' before attending though not required. PDF here: https://www.lifeworth.com/deepadaptation.pdf
