Learn Canning Basics and How to Make Dilly Beans
Brighten up winter meals with these fun pickles made from whole green beans and lots of dill. Learn to make them yourself with experienced canner Ruah Swennerfelt, outside and safely distanced at the Charlotte Library parking lot, Saturday September 19, 10:00-11:30. Ruah will use the Library's new "Charlie Cart" portable kitchen unit and a small hot water canning pot so you will see the whole process. Ruah and Linda Hamilton will discuss the general basics of canning safety and point out the array of possibilities for preserving food this way. Beginning and experienced canners welcome.
