Healthy Lamoille Valley invites the community to join us to celebrate Alcohol Awareness Month for our 6th Annual “Time to Talk About Youth” event featuring presenter, Michael F. Nerney, who is well-known in our region and internationally as a neuroscience specialist. Michael offers useful and proven ways of speaking to your teenage child about sometimes difficult subject matter. However, you do not need to be a parent of a teen to find value in this event. Teachers, grandparents, medical personnel, and community members will gain knowledge that will help you encourage youth and support parents in your communities to prevent underage drinking and drug use. Parents with younger children benefit from knowing the facts before youth think about using drugs and alcohol. When you know the facts you can naturally and more easily talk to your kids about tough issues at times when they're likely to listen and engage.

Please spread the word! Dinner begins at 5:30PM in the cafeteria and the presentation begins at 6:00PM in the auditorium.

Onsite childcare will be provided. RSVP for free childcare is required. RSVP for dinner is requested. Teens are welcome to attend this event (age 13+).
