You're Invited to attend the "Friends of the Calais Town Hall" first Annual Meeting to be held on Thursday, September 24, 2020, 10:00-11:00 am via Zoom.
Calais' beautiful and historic Town Hall (circa 1866) has been closed for almost five years, and is in the final stage of an extensive three year renovation. It was scheduled for a Grand Re-Opening in May 2020, only to be delayed indefinitely due to Covid-19.
However, the non-profit Friends of the Calais Town Hall is still working to ensure the Town Hall is ready when post-Covid days allow! At that time, the Town Hall will serve not only as Calais' municipal center for meetings and events, but also as a cultural and performing arts center, and will be available to rent for special occasions.
Join us for our first Annual Meeting to elect Members to the Board of Directors and hear plans for the future. Currently serving Board Members up for re-election are: David Schutz, Scott Bassage, Chris Colt, Clif Emmons, Nancy Toulis and Barbara Butler. Nominations for new Board Members to serve a two year term will be taken from the floor.
