If you are a new Vermonter, a "boomerang" Vermonter, or existing adult Vermonter who is seeking to get [more] connected in the NEK, join us to learn how this program can help!

The Vermont Welcome Wagon Project is a program designed to help close the Talent Gap in Vermont by helping retain new, newly returning, and existing Vermonters in the state by assisting them to get connected (or more deeply connected) in the community.
New VT arrivals or returnees, or "participants", are connected with established community members, or "hosts", so that they can meet informally to learn more about the NEK, specifically. The program provides new folks with the opportunity to build a community network and ask honest questions about the ins and outs of living here. Hosts and participants can discuss things like "Where do you go out to eat?" or "What's there to do on a rainy day?" and "What's the childcare situation like?" The goal is to accelerate the time it takes to "figure out" VT and get connected to our community in meaningful ways.

Join NEK YPN steering committee member, Gretchen, for a virtual information session to learn about the program, how to get involved, and what impact it has in the NEK. Visit vtwelcomewagon.org for more information or contact us at nekwelcomewagon@gmail.com.
