Sons of the American Legion Squadron #47 of Canaan, Vermont will be having their 15th Annual Dance and Meat Raffle on Saturday April 19th from 7pm til 11pm at the American Legion Post #47 on Kingsbury Road in Canaan, Vermont. There are 10 meat packages of fresh steaks and seafood to be drawn and it only costs a quarter a chance. There are 2 Delmonico steak packages, 2 sirloin strip packages, a boneless beef tenderloin package, a porterhouse steak package, 2 catch of the day packages, a it's bacon package, and a surf and turf package. The catch of the day packages will be coming from the docks in Portland, Maine that day and be a mixture of salmon, haddock, scallops, and shrimp. The bacon package will consist of bacon sausage and sliced bacon. The surf and turf package will be made up of lobster and filet mignon.

There will be door prizes throughout the evening and that night there will a special drawing only for that night. Come and support this squadron so that they can continue to support all they do for their community. We sponsor a graduation award to both Canaan Memorial High School in Canaan, VT and Pittsburg High School in Pittsburg, NH. Support is given to the Dodge Center ( a transition shelter for homeless veterans in West Rutland, VT), local food shelf, little league team sponsorship, and many American Legion programs.
