The Windham Conservation District and all of our partners in the newly formed Southeast Vermont Cooperative Invasive Species Management Association (SE VT CISMA) are excited to offer a six-part webinar on invasive plants this fall. Join us for engaging and informative presentations with lots of time for answering all your invasive plant questions:

- September 30 - Backyard Invasives – Nasty Neighbors
- October 14 - Invasives in Your Woodlot
- October 28 - Non-Chemical Invasive Species Management Options
- November 11 – To Spray or Not to Spray - Responsible Herbicide Use in Invasive Plant Management
- December 9 - Early Detection Rapid Response – What is it and what species should you be on the lookout for?
All webinars will be hosted on Zoom and held from 7:00-8:00 PM.
The Southeast VT CISMA is group of public and private conservation partners formed to pool our resources, expertise, and capacity to do public outreach and education on invasive plant issues, explore new methods of invasive control, set up demonstration sites, and to conduct or support control projects in high priority locations throughout southeastern Vermont.

Intro to invasive plants – What is an invasive plant and what resources are available to help you fight them?
Come join Pieter van Loon, Vermont Land Trust Lead Forester, Jack Minich, VT Land Trust VHCB AmeriCorps Land Management Coordinator and Silvio O. Conte National Fish and Wildlife Refuge Biologist, Rachel Cliche, as they discuss what an invasive species is, common invasive species in southeast Vermont and beyond, and how the new Southeast Vermont Cooperative Invasive Species Management Association (SE VT CISMA) can help you manage your invasive plants. The format will be 15 minutes of presentation, followed by 45 minutes of Q&A time - so bring your invasive plant questions!
