Tool Training Oct 15th 5-9PM
Tool Training is back as we begin to reopen the Woodworking Lab. Tool Training is a one night prerequisite for new participants to use our Woodworking Lab.
5:00-5:45pm - Intro to the shop and properties of wood.
5:45-6:30pm - Delta 8" jointer use and safety
6:30-7:00pm - 24" Powermatic planer
7:00-8:00pm - 10" Table saw
8:00-9:00pm Band saw
Participants are requested to arrive wearing short sleeves, long pants, closed toed shoes and have long hair tied back. This is for your safety as well as the safety of others in the Lab. Children 16-18 are welcome if accompanied by an adult, they will need to register separately.
Due to COVID-19, pre-registration is required. Instructions for arriving and working safely at The Makery are included in your confirmation email.
Limit of 5 participants to socially distance with the instructor.
