The yellow card announcing special Town meeting is creating some confusion.
First voting will be by ballot on November 3rd.
The proposed zoning change was presented by petition of citizens. The planning commission and Select Board had nothing to do with the drafting of the language. In fact the boards where prohibited by law from making any changes .
With that said I will be voting no on the proposed change. Most commercial operations that are allowed in town by zoning are conditional. Hours of operation, size of operation, parking, truck traffic just to name a few conditions that could be applied. With this change fire wood processing of any scale will be allowed in any district with NO conditions applied.
Please attend the informational meeting September 19th so you can make an educated vote on your ballot.
