The Windsor Grasslands Wildlife Management Area-- former site of the Windsor Prison Farm-- is over 800 acres of woodlands, open fields, wetlands, and old orchards. A great place for nature walks, birding, apple picking and wildlife observation. Local resident and retired science teacher Mike Quinn will lead us to discover the sights and marvels of this special Windsor location. We will be social distancing and wearing masks. Wear a mask, long pants, bug spray (especially for ticks), bring water and maybe a snack. Please call the library beforehand at 674-2556 to let us know you'll be there.
