Do you wonder how to compost at home? What exactly is compost? Not sure where to take the compost you separate and collect? Want to start a compost pile or bin at your home in the backyard? Did you know by 2020 compost will no longer allowed to be in the trash?
Get ahead of the game and join us for an informative presentation. Compost experts from St. Albans City School Team Renaissance, Highfield's Center for Composting, Northwest Solid Waste District, Hudak Farms, and St. Albans City School Farm to School present home compost options to the public and reserve time for questions and answers. This is a great opportunity to learn how to separate food waste from your trash, where to take it here in St. Albans or how to home compost it. Kitchen compost containers will be available. Join us this evening, April 15th, at St. Albans City School in the library from 6-7pm.
