"Making a Difference to Those in Need"
Join the "Old Bones" on Saturday, Sept. 12th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. or for a rain date Sept. 13th in the Bristol Park. This is their 12th and final Annual Country and Gospel Music Concert to benefit Village2VillageProject's orphans, needy children and their care takers in Uganda. Due to the Covid 19, there is even a greater need than previous years.
Thanks to generous people like you, "Old Bones" has raised thousands of dollars over the years for Village2Village Project, a charity born in the local First Baptist Church of Bristol. V2VProject now supports more than 134 orphaned and needy children and HIV guardians in northeastern Uganda. Sponsors come from all over the world.
To add to the afternoon's enjoyment this year the gifted singing group "Honey in the Hive" will be joining the "Old Bones".
Donations will be received for Village2VillageProject at the concert. Containers will be set out on tables in the park for them. Or you can give on line at www.Village2VillageProject.org or on their Facebook page. Our goal is to raise $2000 or more.
For those desiring to listen to the 'Old Bones' throughout the year, they are offering a CD called the "Best of the Old Bones" for a donation for V2VProject. These will also be on a table.
Bring your own chairs or blankets and masks and remember to sit in family or social groups that are 6 feet apart from other groups. You can also sit in your car. Round out the afternoon with a Brownie Sundae for $5 offered by the First Baptist Church of Bristol. All proceeds go to V2VProject. Join us in an enjoyable afternoon and take part in bringing hope to those in poverty in Uganda.
The First Baptist Church of Bristol and Village2VillageProject thank the "Old Bones" for donating their time and talent to help those in need and for the "Honey on the Hive" for joining us this year.
