Hello Community Friends:

The VUES staff are working hard to prepare for a very different academic year for our area students. One important goal for the year is to get students outside as much as possible including into our outdoor classroom, and we need a little help sprucing up the trails and groves for students.

If you have some spare time this Saturday (8/29) and/or Sunday (8/30) morning beginning at 8:30, please consider meeting up at the trail head near the basketball court/skating rink. Volunteers will be cleaning up and maintaining the trails and clearing up two pine groves that function as outdoor classrooms. Please bring:

* Your own tools - most needed are weed whackers! Also useful will be hedge clippers, rakes, and wheel barrows;
* A mask;
* And protective clothing (though no poison ivy or parsnip has been spotted, some may be hidden).
