The Hungry Lion is looking for walkers and cyclists this year!

The Hungry Lion Bike Tour is responding to the challenge of social distancing by welcoming both riders and walkers to its 2020 fundraiser, which will take place over nine days, from Sept. 19 thru Sept. 27. There will be no central starting point -- cyclists and walkers can walk or ride wherever they like and can choose which days to participate, alone, or with a team of friends.
Sponsored by the Deerfield Valley Lions Club, the HLBT has raised over $200,000 over the last 9 years. All funds raised go to support Lions community projects, including the Deerfield Valley Food Pantry, vision testing in local schools, scholarships, aid to seniors and help for residents with cancer and diabetes, and more.
There is a $50 registration fee, and participants can make pledges online.
Each day, the Deerfield Valley Lions will recognize selected participants through the club's Facebook and web pages, based on their efforts.
