On June 11, 2020, the West Windsor Selectboard, at the request of some town residents, approved a resolution honoring the co-founders and staff of the Brownsville Butcher & Pantry as "Community Champions" for their services to town residents during the Covid-19 pandemic. In its resolution, the Selectboard noted that throughout this historic and unprecedented health crisis the BB&P served as an essential community resource by adapting to meet the needs of area residents and fostering and sustaining the town's sense of identity and community.
A brief informal ceremony will be held on Monday, August 24, at 4:30 outside the BB&P to unveil a plaque honoring the BB&P's co-founders and staff as "Community Champions." Please join us (Pete Ferrick, Ginger Mason and Candee and Scott Brohinsky) at this informal event to show your appreciation for the pivotal role the BB&P has served in our community during the pandemic and for the consistent sensitivity, diligence and positive approach of Peter Varkonyi, Lauren Stevens and the staff of the BB&P.
For those attending, please be mindful of the need to wear masks and maintain social distancing.
