Veggie Van Go, a free fresh fruit and vegetable distribution program of the Vermont Food Bank, will be held at the Rochester Elementary School parking lot again on Tuesday August 25 from 9-11am. This event, sponsored by Gifford Medical Center, is open to all members of the surrounding White River Valley communities, no questions asked, no registration. Boxed produce and other goodies will be loaded into participants cars in a drive-thru style set up. Everyone is welcome to pick up extra boxes for family members and/or friends and neighbors who are unable to travel. The exact produce and other goods that will be distributed will not be known until the day of, but given the bounty of summer from our farms around here, you can expect it to be delicious!
