The Vermont Playwrights Circle invites you to join us online for this year's virtual celebration of TenFest, featuring discussions and interviews with playwrights, directors, actors, and tech staff.
On Saturday, August 22, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, we will focus on playwriting. How do you go about writing a 10-minute play? What kinds of ideas work for a short play? Playwrights will share tips for writing, editing, and getting your play on-stage. Some of the 2020 TenFest winning playwrights will join us in the discussion.
On Sunday, August 23, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, we will focus on acting, directing, and technical aspects of a play fest. Ever wonder what goes on back stage to make the magic happen? What is involved in acting and directing a short play? Would you like to get involved, on-stage or off? We'll also present some "teasers": short excerpts from some of this year's chosen plays, and we'll announce other celebrations of the 10-minute play to continue into the fall.
Join us for one or both events. Both days are free, although reservations are required, and donations will be gratefully accepted. More information and directions for making reservations and/or donations can be found on our website at http://www.vtplays.com/
