Film Screening About the Criminal (In)Justice System

Past event
Aug 20, 2020, 7 to 9 PM

Camp Meade (behind Red Hen) is putting on a film screening by youth journalist group Conversations From The Open Road. Films will be centered around the criminal justice system in Vermont and New York City featuring formerly incarcerated folks, community organizers, politicians, Dept. of Corrections staff, and those working to change the system from all angles. The goal of the film is to show how communities are reimagining justice, healing, and safety, and how we can work towards that vision in our towns, from the bottom up. The screening will be followed by a panel of those of us who participated in the interviews and made the shorts. This Thursday, Aug. 20th from 7-9 pm!
