Join us THIS Tuesday, April 15th at Johnson State College, Dewey Room 177 from 4:00pm-6:30pm as we prepare for the Vermont Workers' Center annual May 1st March and Rally in Montpelier. The Vermont Student Union and Vermont Workers' Center are coming together to host our May Day Planning Party and we would love to have you join us.
The Vermont Workers' Center is a grassroots organization made up of people from across the state who are fighting for all Vermonters to be able to meet their fundamental needs and fulfill their human rights – such as housing, healthcare, education, livable wages, and paid sick days. This year, we have seen these needs and rights come under attack. Decisions are being made that will affect our lives for years to come, and we aren’t at the table.
We will be preparing banners and signs, learning chants and songs, running VWC membership orientations and discussing the creation of a Lamoille County Healthcare As A Human Right Coordinating Committee- all in preparation for our big May 1st event in Montpelier.
