• View recorded Channel 17 Q&A from 7/1/2020 with Charter Commissioners Liz Edsell and Hussein Amuri at www.winooskivt.gov/charter
• Our 7/31/2020 report to the City Council, as well as the amendments to the charter, are available in the notice of the 8/3/20 meeting agenda (Item IX.C.) at https://www.winooskivt.gov/AgendaCenter/ViewFile/Agenda/_08032020-684?html=true.
If approved by voters and the legislature, this amendment to our City Charter would allow all legal Winooski residents, regardless of whether they are a United States citizen, to vote in Winooski municipal elections.
The Charter Commission recommends placing the measure on the general election ballot for current Winooski voters to decide.
The City Council will review and determine whether to place on the November ballot at their upcoming special meeting.
