This is extremely short notice, but I see that The Pawlet Public Library is presenting "Arming the Union: Vermont Gunmakers and the Technology that Shaped America" this Thursday, April 17th at 7 PM. The program explores the critical role that Windsor played in producing the guns that won the Civil War. The Castleton Historical Society is planning a field trip to the Precision Museum in Windsor on July 19th; this program would nicely prepare us for the field trip.
