Wildlife Habitat Walk at Slate Valley Trails

Past event
Aug 8, 2020, 9 AM to 12 PM

Slate Valley Trails will be hosting wildlife biologist, Travis Hart, on Saturday, August 8th from 9 AM to 12:00 PM. Hart is a Wells native currently residing in Poultney, and is excited to share his love of wildlife and forests with the community. This will be a casual walk and talk exploring the field and forest edge along the trails accessible from the Fairgrounds trailhead.

Where: Fairgrounds Trailhead parking, 131 Town Farm Rd, Poultney, VT 05764

This outing will be of interest to inspiring naturalists, landowners, and those interested in understanding more about how wildlife interacts with the forested landscape. Hart will highlight forest, field, and meadow habitats that attract wildlife, and provide insight into techniques that help improve habitat for wildlife.

This walk will be on rolling terrain, but will not be steep, and will be at a casual pace.

We will be abiding by the most recent State of Vermont and CDC guidelines on social distancing. Please bring a mask or face covering. Tinyurl.com/SVTCovid19Guidelines
