Being a Justice of the Peace is a great way to get more involved in your community. Primary duties include being an election worker and sitting on the Board of Civil Authority. A JP may officiate weddings (but that's not a mandatory duty) and may also give oaths. If registered at the county courthouse, they can act as notaries.

The Northfield Democratic Committee will be hosting a nominating meeting to nominate candidates for the office of Justice of the Peace. The meeting will be held on August 8th at 9am by Zoom Meeting.
