There are all sorts: of MASKS: Halloween, Tribal, Mythological, Religious, Clay, Surgical or the ultimate face…a Face Lift!These days wearing one has become controversial…some considerate a health issue others an invasion of their civil rights.The Paper Bag Mask Project was conceived by M Sebastian Araujo as a way of bringing together patrons, artists, and community members who all would usually be parting in the annual summer events at the Montgomery Center for the Arts, which due to the current pandemic have been canceled. The idea of not gathering, these locals, Canadians, and others all kept in touch virtually hoping for a swift end to this crisis…alas it is still going so creating an Art Project folks could submit work in hand, or virtually seemed to be a good answer to the usual community-based summer fun. So Sebastian set out contacting everyone on the mailing list who in mentioned it to a friend, via Facebook and Email, now this being VT some people don't use FB so that required a personal visit with a bag and sharpie in hand at the front door or in the mailbox.….so what was a few turned into the many. The will be OUT on The FRONT PORCH @ the MCA SAT, SUN 12-4 AUGUST
