TOWN OF BRISTOL
A COMMUNITY CONVERSATION ON SAFETY, SECURITY, AND POLICING
MONDAY, AUGUST 3, 7:00 – 9:00 PM

In response to national events, including the tragic death of George Floyd in Minneapolis in May of this year, communities across Vermont and around the country are having conversations about what creates a feeling of safety and security for residents. One element of safety and security is community policing.

This is a complex topic with a long history and many points of view. The goal of this meeting is to start a conversation on the topic generally and on the subject of the operation of the Bristol Police Department.

Chief Nason views this meeting as an opportunity to listen and learn from the community on whose behalf the department serves. Bristol resident and state senator, Christopher Bray, will serve as moderator.

Additional meetings will be scheduled if residents are interested in continuing the conversation.
