Join us on the Abbott Memorial Library's lawn this coming Sunday at 3:30 to discuss the Vermont Reads selection, "The Hate U Give." Angie Thomas's book focuses on police violence, the need to speak up, and the conflicted life of protagonist, Starr. Although the themes are challenging, the book's tone is personal and even, at times, humorous!
Please bring your observations, questions, your own blanket or lawn chair, and water. We will need to observe social distancing and wear masks. The Abbott is in South Pomfret (15 Library St.).
