The Journey to Decide Who's Family, Friday at Chandler

"Immediate Family", by Paul Oakley Stovall, ZOOMS to you from Chandler this Friday.

In this new play, African-American siblings and half-siblings gather for a wedding, with homophobia and race and religion in the sub-text. Playwright Stovall, George Washington in the touring production of "Hamilton", set the script in the Chicago suburbs, where he grew up and which he knows well.

The play is directed by Dayenne Walters (Roxbury, MA), the grandmother in last summer's memorable production of "All Together Now" at Chandler. Her wide-ranging and informative interview with Mr. Stovall is posted on the Chandler website www.chandler-arts.org.

Taking advantage of the ZOOM platform, the cast members come from across the Northeast -- and from Texas!

Immediately after the play, there will be a live Q&A with Ms. Walters and her cast members.

Tickets are $10 each, for however many folks as you can fit around your ZOOM device, and can be purchased on the website.
