March for Black Lives in Newport
Where: Gardner Park
When: Saturday, July 18th 2-4pm
Why: Come out in solidarity for Black life in Vermont by standing against overt and systemic racism in Vermont. This event is focused on uprooting and exposing racism in the criminal justice system in Orleans county as well as showing solidarity with Black Vermonters of all ages that are isolated while living in rural communities. We have some specific criminal justice demands in Orleans County that I'd be open to sharing more about ahead of the event if you are interested.

REAL is looking for;
Donations of water, snacks and masks to distribute at the event
financial donations to pay speakers who are making the trek up to Newport
Megaphones and two-way radios for the march coordination team
