Barre Town residents will have a chance on Saturday April 26 to take a tour of the Department of Public Works building at 129 Websterville Road. The purpose is to give residents a chance to see first hand the condition of the building and its functionality. When the used building was erected in the late 1950s it was a used military portable building at the time. This building has long outlived its usefulness as a structure to work out of. The modern era of equipment is vastly different than the equipment used in the late 1950s. The volume of roads that the town takes care of today is very different from the number of roads we took care of in the late 1950s.

Mark your calendars for Saturday April 26, I believe the time is 10 am to 1 pm. The town will have more announcements about the event as it gets a little closer
