Black Lives Matter Vigil

Past event
Jul 17, 2020, 5:30 to 6:30 PM

Everyone is warmly invited to the weekly racial justice vigil in support of the Movement for Black Lives.
Friday 5:30-6:30pm. Meet-up at the bus stop in front of the movie theater.

We peacefully gather on the public square to continue to direct attention to the many ways that racism and white supremacy permeate society and the world.

We stand in solidarity with oppressed BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) and advocate for widespread systemic changes that right wrongs and create a truly equitable human culture.
How do we do this?
By educating ourselves and beginning to have transformative conversations with everyone we meet.

The Springfield Library has some excellent antiracist resources, including How To Be An Antiracist by Ibram X. Kendi.
