The Lanpher Memorial Library has received the Children's Literacy Foundation Summer Readers Grant! This means that we have lots of brand new books to give away to children from infants up to 6th grade age.
We will have tables set up on the Library lawn on Friday, July 24th 10:00-1:00 and Saturday, July 25th 10:00-1:00 with the books laid out. We'll be there with our masks on while each child who comes can choose 2 brand new, free books to keep.
We'll have room for 6 feet physical distancing and families will take turns in selecting if more than one family arrives at the same time. We encourage mask wearing.
We will have an open canopy to cover the tables if it is raining lightly, but will postpone in the case of a downpour, or thunder/lightning.

Remember we have a StoryWalk® set up around the lower field at Hyde Park Elementary School! Right now the book is: "Thank You, Earth",by April Pulley Sayre. The StoryWalk® will be on going throughout the summer and fall, and a new book will be posted soon!
