Have you got a few too many crops of this and that in your garden? Don't want to toss it in the compost if someone else could use it before it goes by? Or maybe you don't have a garden and could use some free, fresh garden veggies for your family? Then come on down to the General Store on Saturdays between 9 – 11 and either share your garden's bounty with our neighbors or take home some freshly harvested greens, veggies, herbs and eggs!
DETAILS: Bring your washed and trimmed garden produce between 9 – 11 (the earlier the better). We'll have a couple coolers but if you can put it in cardboard boxes and/or plastic bags, that'd be fine. The goal is to have all donations given away by 11 AM so that nothing ends up going in the compost pile.
BONUS - FREE DONUTS! That's right - Woodbury's Local Donut has generously offered to support our efforts with their delicious homemade donuts - available till they're gone.
NOTE - the Calais-Woodbury Food Shelf is open every 3rd Saturday of the month, so we'll skip those weekends. Drop by, peek in the windows and let's talk up our dreams for the new store!
Please wear masks and practice 6 ft. distancing.
If you are unable to bring your extra produce but want to contribute, please ask a neighbor or friend to deliver it to the store. If you would like to start up a similar "Extra Row" weekly sharing event in your village (Maple Corner, Adamant, North Calais), go for it! Let's keep it simple.
