This is the beginning session on using ArcGIS Online as part of the CodeforBTV Civic MeetUp series for civic engagement. I will be conducting the initial session on what can be done with and the basics of GIS. Each participant is expected to create their own civic application over time. This project must be a neighborhood, community, regional or state-based application. Participant projects will be building applications using ArcGIS Hub as the container for their own work. We are encouraging participants to help out communities who do not have professional staff that do these kinds of things and make a long-term commitment to continuing support. Basic requirements: comfortable with online software (including decent broadband speed); civic mindedness; good math and analytical skills; willingness to stick to support your project(s) overtime.
Participants will receive their own account and password.
