Purpose:
The Northfield Equity Awareness and Justice Group's mission is to advance racial and social justice in Northfield and beyond. This forum is designed to promote an open dialogue between the Northfield Police Department and our community around racial and social justice issues and policing in Northfield.

The specific objectives of this event are to:
Bring people of the Northfield community with different viewpoints and backgrounds together for honest, respectful, and productive conversation around race, social justice, racism, and policing.

Create an opportunity to build trust and common ground between the community, the Northfield Police Department, and people of differing viewpoints.

Share perspectives in an open and supportive way on racial and social justice topics that may be difficult but critical to discuss
Exchange constructive ideas around solutions and actions.

Begin to lay a foundation for further discussions and actions within the community.

Format:
The Northfield Equity Awareness and Justice Group will gather questions in advance that community participants may submit via a the Suvey Monkey link below and on the Northfield Equity Awareness and Justice Group Facebook page.

Questions must be submitted by July 5th.
The meeting will be limited to 50 people due to space and safety considerations, and be streamed on Facebook Live.

Registrants will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis and will be notified by email by July 6th.

Questions will be grouped by theme and addressed by officers from the Northfield police department.

A brief question and answer session will end the discussion. At that time, Facebook Live participants may also submit questions.

Please note, that not all questions will be addressed due to considerations of time, relevance to the purpose of discussing issues of racial and social justice and policing, and respectfulness.
