If you're looking for fun outdoor activities for the family this weekend, check out the library's StoryWalk featuring "Where the Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak! It's set up along the #6 Trail on Millstone Trails in the Town of Barre Forest. From the parking lot at 44 Brook Street, Websterville, go up the hill to the left as though you're headed to Capital Quarry (families who have participated in our Fairy Houses Forest Storytimes in the past will recognize the clearing where the StoryWalk starts). The whole StoryWalk takes about 15 minutes, and there's a great picnic spot near #6 Quarry. Once you reach the end of the StoryWalk, a right turn on the Vast loops back to the parking lot where you started. Enjoy reading, physical activity, and the beauty of nature! Don't forget to wear tick repellent! The StoryWalk will be up until at least July 6th. For a marked, printable map, email aldrichchildren@gmail.com.
