Greetings, Neighbors -- we hope you and your families are managing well through these challenging times.

On behalf of Mayor Miro Weinberger, the team at Burlington Electric Department and our colleagues from Permitting and Inspections and City Planning, invite you to join us virtually (via Zoom) for a Public Forum on the topic of Fossil Fuel Reduction in Buildings. The details are:

What:
Public Forum to seek community input on City proposals to help use Burlington's 100% renewable electricity to further our Net Zero Energy city goals. Please join the Mayor and other City leaders for a conversation designed to solicit public feedback that will be considered as the City develops proposed new policies designed to reduce fossil fuel use in new construction by encouraging and/or requiring increased energy efficiency measures and the use of electrification technologies to meet thermal energy needs for new buildings. The discussion could include policy ideas to support fossil fuel use reduction in existing buildings as well.
