Important info about a Dairy donation event at the Champlain Valley Expo in Essex this Friday from 9am to 1pm passed along to me by Stephanie Walsh:
· Dairy Farmers of America is holding a dairy donation event at the Champlain Valley Exposition site in Essex from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. We will be making available milk to food shelves and other organizations (schools, local feeding programs). We will have a refrigerated trailer onsite with about 4k gallons for distribution to organizations only. The milk will have to be picked up there; unfortunately we cannot deliver.
Presently, we are working with New England Dairy Promotion on getting the word out, but we could really use some help. We want to ensure that we don't have milk left over and that it will be received by organizations in need. Would you be willing to help me spread the word about this event or have any contacts that you think I should contact?
I really appreciate your consideration. My number is 802-495-9027. We are asking organizations to call to set up a time for a pick up and indicate how much they can take, so we don't create long waiting lines or having too many people congregate.
