Chief Garey and Captain Hoague will be joining the Select Board and Trustees at their regular joint meeting tonight, Tuesday, 6/23 at 7:15 pm to discuss policing and current police practices in Essex.
The Select Board/Trustees sent a list of questions to the Essex Police Department, and they answered with over 200 pages of information. A important note about tonight's meeting with the Essex Police: it's not a "forum" or "community conversation" (as I previously advertised), but a regular joint meeting between the boards. It's an opportunity for our elected officials to learn about what the EPD is currently doing. Some public input will be taken; the Select Board/Trustees will discuss a possible community conversation and wider engagement in the future.
