THE HUMAN FACE OF POLICING IN RANDOLPH
FORE (Focus on Racial Equality) and the Rutland Branch NAACP is presenting a virtual public forum to give the community and the Officers of the Orange County Sheriff's department in Randolph an opportunity to talk with each other.
The Officers will present who they are, and what they do to protect the community. These officers will discuss their training and how it equips them to perform their duties with fairness and equality with regards to race.
FORE and the Orange County Sheriff's department have decided on this presentation because of concerns about how systemic racism influences police in Vermont and to discuss fair and impartial policing.
There are many people who wonder what motivates a person to become a police officer. This event will enable the officers to talk about their motivations in the police work that they do and give the community the opportunity to ask questions about policing in our area.
This will be a dialogue, however we want as many questions in advance as possible.
Please join us by e-mailing acceptance of our invitation by the end of the day July 7th. Include your name, e-mail address and any questions you wish to submit. Send to neilr379@outlook.com
Many thanks for your help in making this a success!!
