Reading Reverse Parade

Past event
Jun 27, 2020, 10 AM to 12 PM

The Reading Recreation Commission invites you to the town's Reverse Parade.

What is that, you ask? It's a unique way to celebrate this patriotic time of the year. Instead of the parade coming to town, you go to the parade!

The Rec is asking people to make floats out of their cars, bikes, wagons, tractors, or whatever strikes your fancy. Since it doesn't have to roll, it doesn't need wheels! Include elements of what you would normally see at a parade: music, noise makers, balloons, candy to toss to people driving by. Park your float and yourself at the end of your driveway and greet passers-by!

If you are interested in having a float in the Reverse Parade, email ReadingVTRecreation@gmail.com with your address. The Rec Commission will distribute the route to all the folks who want to go out and see the parade!

Finally, the Reverse Parade is an event for everyone. Please make your floats are fun or patriotic or both. Do not make them political.
