This year on "Not Quite Independence Day" we're having "Not Quite a Fireworks Show". Instead we are going to "Sing and Shout for Vermont" as a way for everyone to celebrate our freedoms and show appreciation for the many people who are helping during this challenging time.
On the evening of Saturday June 27th please join with your neighbors in singing our national anthem and then making some joyful noise. All you need to do is go outside with a radio, tune into WDEV at 9pm to hear the music and loudly sing The Star Spangled Banner. After the song everyone can make joyful noise using musical instruments, drums, car horns, yodeling, or other means, but please no discharging of firearms.
This event is by no means limited to the Waterbury area - Let's hear singing and shouting across the hills and villages of Vermont!
