Virtual Seminar: Bias & Brain Development

Past event

Hi everyone, I'm Sultana Khan, and I grew up in Randolph. I've been doing some form of equity-based work for almost a decade, with a focus on justice initiatives in rural communities. I'm in the process of moving back to Vermont, and want to help my home state address and take action on systemic issues that have existed in our green valley for many years. To that end, I'll be offering a donation-based 1.5 hour training on Bias and Brain development, to help white folks who aren't sure how to start doing the work that must be done to ensure our beautiful home is safe for every community member. This is merely a starting point, not the end of the road, but I've heard from many people that they feel overwhelmed by resources and therefore don't take action. In order to ensure people of all economic means are able to attend, this training is being offered as donation-based. If you are a higher income earner, please donate accordingly in order to subsidize attendance for lower-income attendees.

**Half of all donations will benefit organizations that are doing racial justice work in Vermont.**

Thanks for considering this training. If you're not able to attend at this time, send me an email, and I will let you know if I decide to do another training.
