On Saturday June 27th, Brad Johnson from Third Branch Horse Logging (TBHL) will be offering a tour of his family woodlot in Northfield. Joined by Derek O'Toole, co-owner of TBHL, the group will stroll on a mile+ leisurely course through the 100 acre pine woodlot. This lot has been managed and harvested using draft horses and small machinery for 25+ years. All ages and all type of people are welcome to attend, including kids. The walk is uphill so participants should be fit enough to enjoy the exercise. The tour will cover woodlot management, tree identification, and wildlife management, and anything else participants are interested in discussing. There is plenty of parking and the walk will take place rain or shine. Come out for a walk in a beautiful part of Northfield, and meet some of the horses that have worked in the lot.
