Resistance Is the Secret of Joy! With Rev. Dr. Mellen Kennedy Sunday, June 14, 10 am, via Zoom.

In this whirlwind of an interesting time, let's explore ways of expressing our anger, experiencing our pain and staying centered. What will truly bring us the strength, sustenance, salvation and solace that we're yearning for? Feel free to bring a percussion instrument (need not be fancy, say, a pepper shaker), a cotton ball and/or cotton cloth, some rice, and your open mind and loving heart. Presenter: Rev. Dr. Mellen Kennedy is a Unitarian Universalist and loves serving as minister for the Springfield UU Meetinghouse in Vermont. Mellen is also an ordained Sufi Cheraga and serves as chair of the board of The Inayatiyya: A Sufi Path of Spiritual Liberty. About 8 years ago, Mellen founded Interfaith Bridge, dedicated to cultivating friendship and understanding across faiths, particularly among Muslims and non-Muslims. Mellen is co-founder of the UU Small Group Ministry Network, and teaches the sacred art of storytelling and extemporaneous speaking.
