Race Conversation Tuesday with a Dif Text

Past event
Jun 16, 2020, 6:30 to 7:30 PM

Please consider joining the Race Conversation session this Tuesday, June 16, 6:30-7:30. We will be meeting on Zoom again, which if you haven't tried yet is surprisingly easy to use.

Please fill out this Google Form to "register" so that I can send you the link to the Zoom call. https://forms.gle/C6ZRVpjiy7fPtzar9

Based on the urgency of the current moment we have decided to shift the format away from our usual text-based discussion related to a chapter out of the book _So You Want To Talk About Race?_ by Ijeoma Oluo. As an aside though please note that the book is #1 on the NYT best sellers list, with 14 of the top 15 books related to anti-racism.

On Tuesday we will focus on the Action and Allyship guide published by the Racial Equity Advisory Panel of Vermont. It is an action-oriented text suitable to the urgency of the present moment. Early in the meeting we will split up into groups based on areas of interest and we will discuss the text with an eye toward moving toward action, small or big, individually or together, to make an impact.

Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions. Hoping to see many of you then.
