Calling Huntingtonian artists, musicians, farmers and others...
The committee planning the 250th Anniversary Field Day event 6/7 at the Rec field is looking for Huntingtonians who would like to share their craft/artistry and vendors who may want to sell their wares. We are looking for musicians who would like to perform on our stage, AND we are looking for farmers who may have animals that can be part of a petting zoo. Please help us make this a festive and fun celebration of our town's heritage. If you are an artisan and want to showcase your craft (i.e. Jim Facteau is going to share his blacksmithing), we will reserve a space for you for free - but we need to hear from you. If you are a vendor selling something, we ask for a nominal $10/table to reserve space. Please email me or call 434-3935 and I'll send the form to interested people. Musicians, whether you're a solo act, duet or band - we will have limited slots so please confirm with me that you'd like to perform and we'll schedule you. In addition to vendors, animals, musicians and artists, we will have games (some that were played 250 years ago), food and even a dog-human costume competition. Soon we will have more publicity materials and a sign up sheet for volunteers who want to help -- stay tuned here! And happy birthday Huntington!
