North Hyde Park Future Visioning Kick-Off

Past event
Jun 17, 2020, 5:30 to 7 PM

Hello Neighbors,

You are invited to a discussion about the future of North Hyde Park!

Mark your calendar for our future visioning kick-off on Wednesday June 17.

The goal of this project is to develop a strategic plan for the neighborhood to improve safety for pedestrian and bike traffic, to provide more interconnection and access to local businesses, to develop the Gihon Valley Hall as a hub for community gatherings, and then use the plan to help secure grants and State funding to help take action on the ideas.

Whether you have lived in North Hyde Park your whole life or just adopted the community as your home, your thoughts and ideas are the key to success. While we can't meet in person just yet due to the COVID-19 situation, we still want to hear your thoughts. Please bring your fond memories and your ideas for the future.

● What is a fond memory you have of North Hyde Park? Maybe you went to school there or used to ski at McAllister's or danced at the old Grange Hall?
● What do you love about North Hyde Park today?
● What do you envision for the future of North Hyde Park?

We will be holding a "virtual kickoff" on June 17 from 5:30-7:00. The agenda for the meeting will include a summary of the project goals, a summary of North Hyde Park's assets, and time for businesses, neighbors, and residents to share their perspective.

If you're interested, please contact Seth Jensen at Lamoille County Planning Commission, seth@lcpcvt.org or 802.851.6337. If you are not able to attend, please share your questions or thoughts by reaching out to Seth or members of the Gihon Valley Hall Committee.

We look forward to being with you on the 17th!

Sincerely,
Liz Courtney, Gihon Valley Hall Committee Secretary
