Gathering in Solidarity for Racial Justice

The Mad River Valley Anti-Racism Initiative invites you to Gather in Solidarity for Racial Justice on Saturday June 6th. Bring a mask, bring a sign, and bring anything you need to be comfortable standing for an hour or more (a chair, water, snacks, protection from the elements). Most importantly, bring your heart and your voice.

We will gather in the parking lot behind the Waitsfield United Church of Christ at 9:00AM. We will have limited sign-making supplies if needed. At 9:30, we will have a short program including 8 minutes of silence, the excruciating length of time Derek Chauvin knelt on George Floyd's neck. From 10 - 11 we will line the sidewalks of Route 100 from the church towards downtown Irasville with our signs (and proper social distancing).

If you are able please make signs beforehand. We hope to see you there.
