Household Hazardous Waste Collection, Sat., 6/13/20

The Craftsbury Energy Committee has initiated a Household Hazardous Waste Collection with the Lamoille Regional Solid Waste District (LRSWD) at the Craftsbury Town Garage on Sat., 6/13, 9 AM - 12 PM @ 59 Town Garage Road, Craftsbury.

Free for all LRSWD customers!

Note: There is no Trash or Recyclable Drop-off that Saturday, 6/13.

Procedures dues to COVID Regulations:
- Wear a Mask
- Stay in your vehicle
- All items must be loaded in the trunk or the bed of a pickup truck
- Personnel will unload all items
- All containers of HHW will not be returned, including Waste Oil containers.
- Business waste will be accepted between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. ONLY.
- Businesses MUST pre-register with a disposal inventory no later than one week before the collection. Call the LRSWD office to register: 888-7317.
- No 30 or 55 Gallon drums
- There may be a wait, so patience is encouraged!

- LRSWD customers include Craftsbury, Wolcott, Eden, Elmore, Morrisville, Hyde Park, Belvidere, Stowe, Worcester, Johnson, Waterville, & Cambridge

- If you are not a LRSWD customer payment is due at the time of collection
- Another HHW collection by LRSWD is scheduled for 9/19/20 in Jeffersonville.

The HHW that is Acceptable:
- Paint (10 Gallon Limit) - Participating hardware stores also take old paint
- Aerosols
- Automotive Products
- Fertilizers
- Gasoline / Kerosene
- Household Cleaners
- Paint Thinners
- Pesticides / Insecticides
- Pool / Hobby Chemicals
- Thermostats & Thermometers
- Waste Oil & Filters

The items that are Not Accepted that day:
Batteries **
Electronic Waste **
Fluorescent Bulbs **
Propane Tanks **
Tires **
Asbestos
Empty Containers
Explosives / Ammunition / Fireworks
Medication and Medical Waste
Radioactive Materials
Vaping Devices

** Accepted all year at LRSWD drop-offs. Fees may apply
