BACKYARD COMPOSTING WORKSHOP. Interested in backyard composting? The NEKWMD is hosting a backyard composting workshops to prepare residents for the upcoming food scrap disposal ban that begins on July 1, 2020. Be sure to register in advance! This workshop will focus on: Vermont's Universal Recycling and Composting Law, the benefits of composting, choosing a compost set-up, building and maintaining a productive compost pile, troubleshooting composting problems, other options for keeping food waste out of the trash.
